An exhibiton on production processes, people and societies based on the manufacture of opium products, betel nut and tobacco. A combination of beauty, handicraft and addiction is placed into a thought provoking perspective.

Dr. Polit. Stephen Sparkes has had scientific responsibility for the exhibition, and has written the following supplemental texts for the Internet.

About the exhibition

Exhibition at the Ethnographic museum, Oslo, 10. june - 30. september 1999. All days 11:00-15:00, closed mondays, free admission.
